On Saturday, January 31, 2026, community members came together to work on restoring the recently vandalized “Say Their Names” mural. This mural was created by ACT 4 SA and partner organizations to honor 14 local victims of police violence. The mural was defaced on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, leaving many of the faces hidden with black spray paint.
Thankfully, our neighbors came out in full force to help repaint and rebuild this memorial. The mural is now ready for the next phases of restoration by artist David Blancas and his team.
