ACT 4 SA is seeking a full-time bilingual Organizing Director who is a highly motivated, creative, and talented individual with a deep commitment to criminal justice reform. This person would be responsible for implementing and overseeing the organization’s campaigns with the Executive Director while supervising and assisting other organizers in coordinating their day-to-day campaign-related tasks. The Advocacy Director will play a key role in planning and implementing issue campaign activities to exercise grassroots power, and develop a sustainable organization.

This is a hybrid full-time salaried position with a $68k salary, Unlimited PTO Plan, Internet Stipend, and health, vision, dental, and life insurance benefits.

Represent ACT 4 SA in key alliances and coalitions at strategic conferences, gatherings, etc.

Synthesize and document organizing work and outcomes in periodic reports for evaluation and building institutional memory

Maintain the project management system for the Organizing/Field Department and hold responsibility for organizing work plans and accountability systems for implementation of organizing plans.

Responsible for creating your own work plan and supporting work plan development of organizing staff, including holding organizing staff accountable to the goals of their work plans.
Utilize EveryAction database to track members, lead turnout efforts, and coordinate external events.

Map out key community and constituent targets; and identify and implement effective strategies to engage impacted communities alongside the Executive Director

Participate in weekly team meetings and one-on-one check ins with organizers, as well as evaluations, debriefs, and trainings

Develop and execute advocacy campaign strategy and tactical plans with ACT 4 SA staff to advance advocacy/issue campaign goals

Assist with digital and in-field communication plans with the Executive Director and Organizational Storyteller & Content Creator (OSCC)
The Organizing Director may lead or take part in field campaigns as well including:
- Participate in power building activities in issue organizing and Get Out the Vote (GOTV), including but not limited to canvassing door-to-door, phone banking, poll greeting, and text banking, as needed
- Conduct grassroots advocacy activities with community leaders including petition drives, letter writing campaigns, and meetings with local elected officials
- Identify, recruit and develop grassroots leaders through issue campaign activities and ongoing training

资格和能力：

At least 2-5 years of experience in grassroots organizing to address social justice issues and/or electoral campaigns.

An effective communicator: verbal and written – able to articulate messages around social justice policy, criminal justice reform, and needs to strengthen campaign impact.

A diplomatic communicator, negotiator, and conflict resolver who can build support, rapport, and positive outcomes when needed for organizing success.
