“ترميم جدارية ”اذكروا أسماءهم"

In 2025 ACT 4 SA and community partners installed a mural commemorating local victims killed by law enforcement in Bexar County. 

On MLK Day in 2026, the mural was defaced, blacking out the names and faces of victims and their family members.

Thanks to an outpouring of local support, we were able to repaint the mural, including adding an anti-graffiti coating, adding an additional portrait, and including the names of more folks who lost their lives in officer-involved shootings from the 1970’s to today. A rededication ceremony was held on International Day Against Police Brutality, March 15, 2026, to honor the memory of those featured, and to celebrate our community’s resilience in times of hardship.
